- Akmal Hakim is an Associate Professor and Head of the Department of Architecture at Sonargaon University (SU), Dhaka, having joined as the faculty in April 2019. He holds an M.Arch. from Bangladesh University of Engineering & Technology (BUET) with a CGPA of 3.33, awarded in June 2014, and a B.Arch. from BUET with First Class, completed in October 1993. He also completed his HSC from Govt. Edward College in 1985 with First Division.
In addition to his current role, Mr. Hakim has held leadership positions at several other institutions. He served as Associate Professor & Head at Primeasia University from October 2015 to January 2019, as Senior Lecturer at Southeast University from January 2014 to October 2015, as Assistant Professor & Head at State University of Bangladesh from January 2009 to January 2014, as Full-Time Adjunct at Ahsanullah University of Science and Technology from 1996 to 1998 and as Lecturer at Khulna University from December 1994 to December 1996.
